HOLIDAY TIME

It's November and I have no idea what happened to the time between this post and last! But Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I have much to be thankful for. I'm so thankful for my wonderful family, my dear friends, loyal readers, good health and a happy heart. (Yes, I continue to be optomistic despite age, news and the ever-changing publishing industry.)
As a voracious reader I'm delighted -and thankful - to have the option of reading both Kindle books and hard-cover novels.
And as an author, with the holiday season quickly approaching, I'm happy to see my favorite historical holiday book, "Comfort and Joy" available at Amazon/Kindle, Fictionwise.com, ebooks.com and IBookStore.com. "Comfort and Joy" is a fun, Irish love story.
Speaking of fun...for light holiday reading I'd like to suggest, "Heaven Sent." When Matilda Rose captures hot cowboy Cooper T. Davis, she doesn't plan on falling in love. But guess what happens on their accident frought journey? "Heaven Sent" is available as an ebook at the same online locations.
Both "Comfort and Joy" and "Heaven Sent" received 4-star reviews - which are two more reasons I have to be thankful!
What are you thankful for? Think about it - every day! Happy Thanksgiving from my home to yours.

HEAVEN SENT

Welcome to my web-site where I'm delighted to announce the ebook release of HEAVEN SENT.
May I say that I liked it? My own book? Yes! I really liked it. I am my own worse critic and after not reading the novel for several years I didn't know what to expect. But, yes. Reading HEAVEN SENT turned out to be as much fun as writing it! Evidently, the humorous western historical has stood the test of time.
Actually, when HEAVEN SENT was originally released by Dorchester, the Romantic Times reviewer liked the book as well. She gave it four stars and said, "Heaven Sent is a madcap journey reminiscent of Annie Get Your Gun."
The story begins when Matilda Rose Applebee captures Cooper T. Davis at gunpoint. The cowgirl isn't looking for love. Oh, no. Matty aims to haul the snake-belly back to her sister's waiting arms. In a road trip to remember -taken in an embarrasingly garish medicine wagon - Matty and Cooper learn fate has other plans.
If you like your historical romance with a dash or humor and lots of adventure, you're sure to enjoy HEAVEN SENT available now at www.Belgravehouse.com and soon at Amazon Kindle and Fictionwise.com

Silent Writing Partners

This isn't the blog I intended to post this morning but my silent writing partner is missing this morning and the office feels empty. He is not my muse and neither does he provide inspiration - a writer waiting for either might as well be waiting for Godot. Bob offers company and quiet support. He breaks the isolation bubble most writers live within. He never approves or disapproves of what I have written. My son - I call him my second son - is the very soul of acceptance. Although I barely notice, every so often he moves to a different spot in the office, but rarely does he leave me alone.
Bob is my 11 - or perhaps - 12 year old dog adopted from the Miami-Dade County pound over 8 years ago. (No one is quite sure of his age.) He qualifies as a mutt but is mostly a Carin Terrier. That is how the vet identifies him. Except for having slightly longer legs than most Carins,' Bob resembles and behaves like a Carin. And that includes the dry skin problems and subsequent itching and scratching that plagues him frequently and that he's been treated for in the past. However, his current skin problem appears much worse.
This morning I took Bob to the vet's for minor surgery - a biopsy. They suspect the tiny, mysterious bump that I felt might be melanoma.
We won't know for several days.
I can't imagine writing without my sweet, silent partner. And I'm wondering how many of you have a silent partner to keep you company while you write. I'd like to hear about them.

Welcome to my website!

Thank you for visiting.
I'm delighted to announce that one of my favorite books, "Take By Storm" originally published by Kensington is now available as an e-book at www.BelgraveHouse.com.
The new title is "Lord of the Sea" and if you're partial to romance and adventure with added bits of mystery and humor, you'll enjoy this historical novel set in Key West, Florida...where wreckers made their fortunes. As did Oliver Steele. But when the rugged, brooding hero rescues beautiful Annabelle Browne from a wreck, he gets way more than he bargained for!
Although the e-book technology is still amazing to me, I'm more than happy to have all my earlier historical print books find new life and a whole new readership! In addition to "Lord of the Sea" you can find "Liberty's Bride," "The Gypsy's Bride," and "Comfort and Joy" at Amazon/Kindle, Fictionwise and Ebooks as well as at www.BelgraveHouse.com.
Meanwhile, I'm nearing the end of a light contemporary mystery set in the Florida Keyes. "My Last Bad Luck Year" is the working title and I hope you'll be seeing it soon both on bookshelves and E venues.
By now, you're probably thinking I'm a bit crazy about Florida. And I am - hurricanes and all. Which is why I like to set my novels in the state I know and love. I hope you enjoy the scenery - and the stories!

Welcome!

You may be thinking that the world doesn’t need another blog…I’ve thought the same thing, even so that’s what I’ll be doing on this page in the coming months. On this page I’ll be announcing my new historical and cozy mystery releases. And as each becomes available I’ll post excerpts and reviews of my four-star backlist of encore releases. These are the novels originally published by the New York houses and now newly revised and released as E -Books. It’s very cool to be able to present favorites from the past!

All of my books are designed to entertain. Whether it’s a cozy, a historical or a contemporary romance, you’ll find my novels are: light…and lovely.

Once a month I’ll blog post new information about current releases or works in progress - and sometimes a new thought or two on the new world of publishing, a fascinating business in the throes of transition.

I may throw in a favorite motivating quote or two.

Sometimes I’ll post links to other writers that I believe my readers will enjoy.

At other times I’ll post links that help writers become better writers - I’m know I’m always learning!

So you’ll never know what you may find here unless you come back often. I hope you do! I look forward to welcoming new readers and old friends.
